Our Location and Getting to Boquete Panama

Take your initial flight into San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) or Panama City, Panama (PTY).

In San Jose you can choose between a flight to David (DAV) with Air Panama ($250.00 round trip) or you can take a taxi to the bus station "Coca Cola" for $3.00-5.00. Here buy a bus ticket to David for $ 12.00 (7-8 hours).

If you plan to spend a day or so in Costa Rica and are looking for a wonderful ocean side place to stay, we recommend the Finca Bavaria in Uvita. It's about a 4-5 hour drive from San Jose, about 1/2 way between San Jose and the Panama border.

If you want to spend some time on the northern pacific coast of Costa Rica, and would rather rent a house instead of hotel, we would like to recommend these two options:

Otherwise you arrive at Panama City and take a flight with Aeroperlas or Air Panama to David for $200.00 (round trip).

If you need a place to stay in David, in this case a hostel, then we can recommend the Bambu Hostel.

Arriving in David you can take a taxi for $30.00 or you take the bus for a few dollars to Boquete. With a rented car the distance from Panama City to Boquete is about 6-7 hours. Or, If you are flying into David - all the major car rental companies (Avis, Thrifty, Dollar, Hertz and more) service the airport. If you do not like to use bus or taxi into Boquete and wish to rent a car here, there is Thrifty Car Rental, Tel.721-2477.

When traveling into town on the main road from David (Avenida Los Fundadores), turn left at the intersection of Calle 5ta Sur - the Banco Nacional building will be on your right and the Delta gas station on your left. This is one long block before you reach the Boquete Town Square. Go straight, cross the small bridge over the stream, then bear right. Isla Verde is two short blocks further on this road, to your right.

ISLA VERDE is situated just 3 minutes walking distance from the Boquete village.
